Rami (Jose R Diaz) was born In Puerto Rico and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Joe began drawing very early in his life. He went to High School of Industrial Art, in New York City. Then after 4 years in the Marine Corps, he came back to New York City and studied Commercial Art at the Art Career School, and Fine Arts at the Cooper Union. He worked in Advertising for many years as a graphic designer/producer in New York and Puerto Rico. In 2001 Joe and his wife Trini moved to Central Florida where he continued working as a graphic designer until late 2005. He finally retired after a one-year stint in DisneyQuest. In 2007 he studied Acrylics with Rico Maschino at the Art Center LLC, in Minneola, Florida.
He currently paints in his studio at home, doing landscapes, animals, portraits, etc.
He is well versed in Acrylics, Oils, Watercolors, and Pastels.
